Your details

When you ask for an offer we collect your vehicle registration and condition, your name, first line of address, postcode, email, mobile number and any photos you send. We use them to work out your offer, contact you and arrange collection and payment. We look up your registration in the official DVSA MOT records and text you a code to confirm your mobile.

If you arrive from one of our ads, your browser keeps a note of which ad it was (and the page you first landed on) for up to a few weeks. If you then ask for an offer, we save that note with your details so we can see which ads work. It stays with FlipMyVan and isn't shared.

Approved FlipMyVan buyers

When you get an offer, FlipMyVan or one approved buyer near you will contact you to buy your vehicle. If we can't collect it ourselves, we pass your name, phone, email, address and vehicle details to one approved FlipMyVan buyer (a vetted van trader or breaker) near you, so they can contact you to arrange the purchase and collection. Before that, buyers only see your vehicle details and postcode area, never your contact details. Your details go to one buyer at most. To withdraw this permission, email us below.

Cookies and Meta (Facebook) advertising

If you tap "Accept" on our cookie notice, we use the Meta Pixel. It shares the pages you visit on our site, and when you finish a quote, with Meta Platforms so we can measure which Facebook and Instagram ads work and show them to similar people. We do not send Meta your name, email, phone or address.

If you tap "No thanks", the Meta Pixel does not run. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. We keep a note on your device of your choice and when you made it.
